1. Product Description

  • PH series hot water circulation pump is for large and medium solar heating projects with solar collectors in order to transfer the heat collected by the solar collector to the water tank or heat exchanger.

  • Good size of circulating pump for solar heaitng system can transfer heat in time and minimize power consumption while avoiding heat loss.


2. Calculation of circulation pump selection in solar energy system

2.1 In a solar heating system, it is extremely important to choose the right circulating pump model

  • The heat collected by the solar collector can be transferred to water tank or heat exchanger in time.

  • Low power consumption to reduce operating costs.

  • Control the pipeline pressure of the solar system at a reasonable level and extend the service life of solar collectors and other equipment.

2.2 Cyclic pump selection calculation

The size of solar energy circulation pump mainly involves the calculation of two factors,flow and head.


2.2.1 Flow

5. Installation

  • The pump should be fixed to the ground or pipeline and the shock-absorbing material can be added to the contact area.

  • The pump should be protected against rain and water immersion.

  • The pump should be well protected in winter months with insulation to prevent from freezing problem.

  • A check valve should be installed at the water outlet of the pump to prevent backflow, which cause pump to reverse.

  • A filter valve should be installed at the water inlet of the pump to prevent the pump body from being blocked.
