Many manufacturers claim that solar water heaters have a service life of about 15 years. Consumers should have a clear understanding. The reasons for the “short-lived” solar water heaters are as follows:
First, the vacuum tube. The vacuum tube is the core component of the solar water heater and the "heart" of the solar water heater. Its quality directly determines the performance of the entire water heater. The performance of the vacuum tube is affected by the coating technology and the processes of cleaning, coating, vacuuming, sealing and the like. However, the vacuum tubes used in some ultra-low-cost solar water heaters have the following drawbacks: low vacuum, only 1/100 of high-quality products; a large amount of impurities and water vapor remain in the tubes, become gas when exposed to high temperatures, and the vacuum is reduced; low vacuum state The stability of the lower film layer is poor, and the film layer ages and falls off within two or three years, resulting in a sharp decay of the heat collecting performance and the inability to absorb sufficient heat.
Second, the insulation layer. The hot water produced by solar water heaters during the day is stored in the water storage tank. If the insulation performance of the insulation layer is not good, it cannot be used overnight or in rainy days, or it is not easy to use. The main reason for the poor thermal insulation performance of solar water heaters is the insulation layer of the water heater. The quality of the insulation layer determines the temperature of the hot water and the amount of hot water. Good insulation layer adopts imported raw materials, such as polyurethane, low thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance; the heat preservation process adopts automatic constant temperature and high pressure quantitative foaming, and is cured by high temperature, and the heat preservation performance is high and stable and lasting. Some inferior materials have high thermal conductivity and uneven foaming. The temperature can drop by a dozen degrees in one night, and there is no hot water in the rainy days. There are also black-hearted enterprises, in order to reduce costs, even the use of homemade benzene board, after a few months, the insulation effect plummeted, basically no insulation after one or two years.
Third, the inner liner. At present, most solar water heater manufacturers claim that the tank liner is stainless steel. It is also stainless steel, but the chromium and nickel in stainless steel are quite different. A good solar water heater adopts a high-chromium and high-nickel stainless steel inner liner to ensure the durability of the inner liner and corrosion resistance. The inferior inner liner is mostly made of low-grade stainless steel, which is basically free of nickel, has poor corrosion resistance and short service life.
Fourth, installation and service. For example, the accessories used to fix the water heater mounting brackets are mostly made of wire rods, which are strong and corrosion-resistant. However, some manufacturers use iron wire to fix them, which causes some areas to encounter severe weather such as heavy rain and hail. Crashed to the ground.
