Solar panels for green power: Green jobs in the United States are growing at a faster pace than the rest of the economy, according to the non-profit Green Alliance Blue, a partnership between labor unions and environmental organizations.
These opportunities span the manufacturing and construction sectors, as well as the education system.
US organizations executive director David Foster says it's very exciting that in a slow-growing economy that is far from creating enough jobs, new job opportunities are aligned with environmental concerns, including renewable energy, recycling, and energy efficiency.
Julie Walker spoke with Mr. Foster, who was part of an International Labour Organization panel briefing delegates at the UN.
