The difference between single-phase and three-phase inverters in off-grid solar power system

The AC voltage converted by the single-phase inverter is single-phase, namely AC220V. There are three jacks at the interface of the single-phase inverter, which are marked with "N", "L" and "PE" respectively.

The AC voltage converted by the three-phase inverter is three-phase, namely AC380V. Three-phase electricity is composed of three alternating electric potentials with the same frequency, the same amplitude, and the phase difference by 120°. The interface of the three-phase inverter has five holes, which are A, B, C, N, PE, or L1, L2, L3, U, V or other marks.

Single-phase power is commonly used by most households. Used in common household appliances, such as refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, electric fans and other household appliances. Then choose a single-phase inverter.

Three-phase power supplies are widely used in large equipment. Such as wind turbines, cranes and belt conveyors, etc. Use a three-phase power supply in the installation place, then it is best to choose a three-phase inverter;

If you don't know whether you should choose a single-phase inverter or a three-phase inverter, Sunflower Solar will help you choose the right inverter.
