Solar panels for home use

Students who live in residence at the Justice Institute of BC (JIBC) campus in Chilliwack even the ecological account are being when taking a shower.
 
This is due to one of the 14 solar panels behind the building that is used to heat water for showers, sinks and washing machines in the residence of 150 beds.
 
The energy efficiency of 70.550 $ modernization project was completed within the framework of the Convention of conservation of energy of the Public Sector (PSECA) between the Government and SolarBC BC, with funding from PSECA, FortisBC and the JIBC Foundation.
 
This was part of a $2.8 million in installations of solar panels in 24 schools, nine colleges and universities, and five hospitals.
 
"These solar panels not only help to heat the residence of students in the Institute of Justice, the installation of them offers jobs in the community," said Congressman Juan Les Chilliwack when he announced for the first time. "The more we see projects like this that we see so much more will see energy saving and the growth of employment in BC"
 
"These solar panels are a tangible example of how we can take measures to meet our energy needs with a reduced environmental impact", said Chilliwack-Hope MLA Barry Penner. "BC has been blessed with a variety of options for renewable energy, such as wind, hydro and solar energy."
