Common Faults And Solutions Of Hot Water Booster Pumps

Publish Time: 2021-04-21     Origin: Site

No water

1. The inlet and outlet valves of the booster pump are not opened, the inlet and outlet pipelines are blocked or the impeller is blocked. Solution: Remove the obstruction.

2. The motor runs in the wrong direction, and the motor rotates very slowly due to lack of phase. Solution: Adjust the direction of the motor and connect the wires correctly.

3. The suction pipe of the hot water booster pump is leaking. Solution: Tighten each sealing surface to remove the air in the pipeline

4. The pump is not filled with liquid, and there is air in the pump cavity. Solution: Open the upper cover of the pump or open the exhaust valve to exhaust the air.

5. The inlet and outlet water supply is insufficient, the suction stroke is too high, and the bottom valve is leaking. Solution: shutdown inspection and adjustment.

6. The pipeline resistance is too large, and the centrifugal pump is improperly selected. Solution: reduce the bends in the pipeline and reselect the pump.

Murmur vibration

1. The pipeline support is unstable. Solution: Stabilize the pipeline.

2. The gas is mixed into the liquid. Solution: Increase the suction pressure of the exhaust.

3. The mixing of liquid and air increases the suction pressure of the pump, causing cavitation. Solution: reduce the vacuum.

4. The bearing is damaged. Solution: Replace the bearing.

5. The motor is overloaded and running with heat. Solution: reduce the valve flow.

Insufficient flow

1. The inlet and outlet valves of the booster pump are not opened, the inlet and outlet pipelines are blocked or the impeller is blocked. Solution: Remove the obstruction.

2. The impeller of the pipeline and hot water booster pump flow passage is partially blocked, the scale deposits, and the valve opening is insufficient. Solution: Remove the obstruction and readjust the valve opening.

3. The centrifugal pump voltage is low. Solution: voltage stabilization.

4. The impeller is worn. Solution: Replace the impeller.

5. Use in excess of the rated flow. Solution: adjust the flow rate and close the outlet valve.

6. The suction lift of the centrifugal pump is too high. Solution: reduce the suction stroke.

7. Bearing wear. Solution: Replace the bearing.

Leaking

1. The mechanical seal of the booster pump is worn. Solution: Replace.

2. The pump body has sand holes or cracks. Solution: Welding repair or replacement.

3. The sealing surface is not flat. Solution: trim.

4. Loose installation bolts. Solution: tighten.

Motor heats up

1. The flow rate of the booster pump is too large, and the operation is overloaded. Solution: reduce the outlet valve.

2. Rubbing. Solution: Check the exclusion.

3. The bearing of the booster pump motor is damaged. Solution: Replace the bearing.

4. Insufficient voltage. Solution: voltage stabilization.
